H i Vertical Structure of Nearby Edge-on Galaxies from CHANG-ES

We study the vertical distribution of highly inclined galaxies from Continuum Halos in Nearby Galaxies - an EVLA Survey (CHANG-ES). explore feasibility photometrically deriving HI disk scale-heights moment-0 images relatively edge-on with inclination >80 deg, by quantifying systematic broadening effects and thus correction equations for direct measurements. The corrected CHANG-ES sample show trends consistent quasi-equilibrium model structure gas disks. procedure provide a convenient way to derive can easily be applied statistical samples future.
